MA Screen: Directing

Entry requirements:
An Honours degree in acting, drama, directing, theatre studies, dance, or a relevant art and design discipline; or A Level 3 Diploma from a recognised professional drama or dance school (e.g. a member of Drama UK or The Council for Dance Education and Training); or An Honours degree in a discipline other than those listed above plus demonstrable performance-related experience, either professionally or within an amateur or student context; or At least three years' appropriate professional experience as a performer, director or writer. Admission onto the course is by interview. Applicants must be aged 21 years or over at the start of the course. Students who do not hold an undergraduate degree will need to undertake an access assignment to establish suitability for undertaking the MA.

Entry requirements:
Interview plus you will normally have a degree or equivalent in a subject that includes an element of movement or dance. Graduates of other disciplines will be considered if they can provide evidence of previous training and experience in movement or dance. If you have a strong movement background and professional experience of working with movement for at least two years, you will be considered for non-standard entry.

Applicants for PhD via MPhil should have either a first class or upper second class honours degree from a UK Higher Education Institution or an overseas qualification rated as equivalent. We are also enthusiastic to hear from applicants who, despite not having the above formal degrees, are advanced arts practitioners from across the theatre and creative industries.
