The Cosmonaut's Last Message to the Woman He Once Loved in the Former Soviet Union
The communication system is destroyed with no possibility of repair, while two cosmonauts orbit the earth lost in space. Those back on earth try to fill voids of loneliness through navigating the fragility of human connection - grappling with language and meaning, they struggle to find the right word, convey the right intention, and all too often they are lost.
The Cosmonaut’s Last Message to the Woman he Once Loved in the Former Soviet Union is a delicate exploration of our irresistible desire for connection with ourselves and each other. Simultaneously “intimate and epic” it haunts us with its enticing fragmentary moments of true connection in an ever more globalising world.
