Unemployed for a year and utterly depressed, Seymour decides to end it all. But when word spreads that he is planning a suicide, strangers start to come forward asking him to die for their cause. This satire, originally written by Nikolai Erdman and banned by Stalin before its first performance, is brought to life afresh in this adaptation by Moira Buffini.
